The desktop app

Screenshots, guides, detected control labels, OCR text, QR contents and redactions are processed locally. Guides stay in Wombat's local application-data folder unless you export or share them yourself. Password-field contents are not read or stored.

Wombat has no account system, analytics, advertising SDK, device fingerprint or licence activation service. Licence keys are verified offline. The non-Store desktop build contacts Wombat's public GitHub releases repository to check for updates; Microsoft Store builds receive updates through the Store.

This website

The site keeps a single shared click total. Individual clicks are not stored with an account or advertising identifier. Cloudflare hosts the site and may process routine connection data such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect it.

If you start a Pro purchase, we store the email address you enter, the generated order number, price and timestamps so Pakasir can complete the payment and you can retrieve your licence later. Pakasir processes the payment under its own privacy terms. We do not use that email for marketing and this service does not send email.

Retention and control

Uncompleted checkout records become eligible for routine deletion after 30 days. Completed purchase and licence records are retained so a key can be recovered and a payment can be supported or accounted for. You control desktop data directly by editing or deleting guides; deleting a step also deletes its screenshot when no other step uses it.
